Very Cool Site for Music

If you love music, you'll love this site. As the promo says it's like creating your own radio station with only the music you enjoy. I have ITunes on my computer that I often have on when I'm working, but this is even better because I can customize it to suite only my preferences.

Let's say you're a James Taylor fan (or Def Leppard...it's your choice). You can create a "station" that plays nothing but James Taylor music. Now, let's say you also like Yo-Yo Ma. So you create a station with his music. You can listen to one station with only that music...or once you set up multiple "stations" you hit mix and it shuffles all your "stations".  No commercials and you hear only the music from the stations you've created with artists you choose. It will also suggest other artists similar to the one you've chosen so you can expand your repertoire of music and add them to any of your stations. I haven't done it yet, but it says you can also share you mix with friends.

And if you like knowing the back story to a particular artist or song, there are videos to watch.

Hi Carol,

I usually listen to cd's or my favorite radio stations (via computer) when I'm working as well. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Lillie..Did I mention this is FREE. You can have the entire collection of your favorite artist without having to buy a CD. If you want to buy it, you can...through Amazon and some other sites. And for those techies that know how to hook their computer up to their home speaker system...wow...how cool!

I am familiar with Pandora and have had it playing, here at the office, for months now.  I was so "leading edge" that I even introduced it to my daughters (twenty-somethings)... who hadn't heard of it, but are addicts now... they didn't approve of my stations, but love Pandora itself.

Carol- thanks for sharing.  I'll go and check it out.  I've downloaded songs from walmart and amazon before and my kids have itunes, but this sounds interesting.

PS- if you get a message that your comment was deleted from my post... it was there twice.  I assume you got some kind of error and did not know it had posted or was just a glitch.  Thanks for the well wishes .  I feel a little better this morning.  But know I am not going to make it all day long today.
