3 Ways to Remember Our Troops this Holiday Season

The holiday season is upon us. In the weeks ahead, as you go about your day making plans, we'd like to ask that you remember the men and women of our military who will be spending their holiday season serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and those who are in hospitals, recovering from injuries they sustained.
 
Like many of you, we have friends who have children who are still deployed and today I got an email that really summed things up for me. My friend Shelia wrote "The wounded/recovering soldiers seem to be the truly forgotten folks. The news seems to give us a daily report on the number of deaths, but we don't hear about the soldiers who manage to survive. A card or letter will definitely brighten their day." Shelia and her husband John are parents of two daughters, both of whom have been deployed.
