I've had enough...and apparently so have others. Today in over 40 cities across the US, including Asheville, North Carolina, organizations are staging the 2009 version of the Boston Tea Party in protest of what is happening in our government and to us as citizens. We have been silent for too long and consequently, the very people we elected to represent us, have sold us and generations to come up the river, enslaving us with record breaking debt, stripping us of any real power, and slowly but surely injecting the government control into our every day lives. This isn't a statement for or against any one party. They're both hypocrites and our opinions as US citizens no longer matters....Unless..we find our collective voices and begin to make our thoughts and opinions matter again.
If there is a tea party in your community, and you are compelled to lend your voice to this please attend. If there isn't one being organized, I hope you'll consider taking the lead or at the very least encouraging an organization in your community to organize one.
